This is a method of applying sculpture directly onto a wall surface using sand and cement. The artist fabricates lace-like patterns out of foam which are placed in the first coat of plaster, which will form the overall design and hold the plaster in place while the artist sculpts the finished surface. The foam is then removed, creating a linear design.
