Pre-cast Concrete
building side

detail

Rather than the box being formed vertically, it is formed flat onto a concrete floor surface, or casting slab. once poured and cured, the completed wall is lifted vertically and moved into place with a large crane. This is call "Tilt-up" construction.

To create a sculpture surface, once again foam wastemolds fabricated and glued to the flat casting slab prior to placement of wet concrete, and carefully vibrated. The foam is removed when the wall is tilted up, and the sculpture areas are sandblasted.
